She thoughtfully integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to empower clients to recognize their behavioral patterns and enact tangible change. Through collaborative treatment planning and a strong emphasis on psychoeducation, Ali ensures her clients understand both the "why" behind their symptoms and how therapy can help. Her work is deeply rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and a profound respect for every person’s capacity for growth and healing.

Specialties & Lived Experience: As a neurodivergent clinician, Ali specializes in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for individuals, couples, and families. She seamlessly blends professional expertise with lived experience, providing highly attuned and practical support for clients navigating ADHD, autism, OCD, and trauma.

Background & Advocacy: Before establishing Mindful Moon Counseling, Ali served in a variety of service-oriented roles. Her diverse background includes supporting families in high-conflict legal situations through mediation and guardian ad litem services, providing crisis intervention via the Crisis Text Line, and delivering case management for unhoused populations in Essex County, NJ.

Professional Collaboration: Deeply committed to the mental health community, Ali actively facilitates a peer supervision group for licensed professionals, fostering a space for thoughtful feedback and shared clinical insight. She is also currently working toward her Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential to further her dedication to clinical mentorship.
